Form with input type=file?

  • I can't seem to find an Ext.form class for a normal file upload field (e.g., ).

I looked into Ext.ux.UploadForm, but it is far more complicated than I need... I just need a normal file field, no progress bars, queues, or requirements for Flash.

Do I have to roll my own HTML for this directly into the FormPanel? How do I ensure that the form tag that Ext JS creates will have the correct enctype?

  • Thanks, Google was not my friend the first time around. I found the inputType:'file' and fileUpload:true config options. Not ideal formatting (no anchoring in Firefox, smallish height in IE), but it'll work.

  • Yeah, definitely not styled as nicely as other Field types. I do recall seeing a comment from Brian that they hoped to address that for 2.1.

  • There are a number of threads regarding this - see also the fileUpload config of BasicForm.
