Is Salvia a form of tobacco? ?

  • The salvia that you smoke. Is it a form of tobacco or is it something else?

  • Yes possible better to stop

  • No. Salvia is a member of the sage genus and mint family. The salvia I assume you are referring to is Salvia divinorum. It has a psychoactive chemical called salvinorin A, which is a k-opioid receptor agonist, and is the only known natural substance to make one 'trip' this way. LSD (acid), mescaline/peyote, and mushrooms affect serotonin, PCP (angel dust) and Ketamine (K) affect the NMDA receptor, for comparison. Marijuana has cannabinoid targets in the brain and tobacco targets nicotine receptors.

  • No it is in no way related to tobacco. The plant you are referring to, Salvia Divinorum, is a hallucinogenic herb that can be smoked for short lasting effects.

  • It is related to the sage plant. It is a shaman drug from S America but can be grown in the US. It is only grown from cuttings

  • salvia is the **** if you smoke it right. funny drug

  • Its a type of marijuana you can get.
