Whats the best cure for ulcers?

  • i have some really bad ulcers on my tongue and on my lower lip, they are so irritating, how do i make them go away?

  • There are a number of things you can do for mouth ulcers. One that is very popular here in the middle east is to drink raw goats milk for a few days.

Obviously, you have to know the person raising the goats well to ensure that they are not sick, but it works quite well.

  • swish with salt water or just put salt water on them. when i coldsores i put salt on them then pure orange juice that mite work also.... hope i helped

  • Depends on the cause. It could be viral, bacterial or fungal, or other. I'd recommend over the counter applications from a pharmacy, topical antihistamines or corticosteroids, and if symptoms persist, see your doctor :)

  • you could try rinsing your mouth with salt water. Salt is a natural astringent.
Other than that you should also try keeping track of what your eating... maybe its a particular food that is causing it. Therefore if you avoid that food you should resolve the problem.

  • The ulcers you are describing may be canker sores, in which case there's a good chance that your calcium tissue levels are low. I would try supplementing with calcium lactate, which is a very easily ionized form of calcium. I personally recommend Calcium Lactate Powder from Standard Process, as I have had a lot of success using this product in my clinic to resolve canker sores. If the calcium lactate does not fully resolve your ulcers, then you may be deficient in some essential polyunsaturated fatty acids (EPFAs) as well. EPFAs are used to transport calcium from blood to tissues. If I have a patient who is on the calcium lactate powder for a week to two weeks and the canker sores are only partially resolved, I add Cataplex F from Standard Process to the treatment protocol as this product is a great source of EPFAs.

Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

  • Hiroyuki's answer sounds good. You might also want to buy a product called Herpanacine at your health food store. That would also work.
